Getting there

HMAS Kuttabul and Sydney Fleet Base East both belong to the ‘base location’ of Potts Point, approximately 2.1km from Sydney CBD, 16.3km from Homebush and 17.4km from North Strathfield. Some accommodation is located at Potts Point otherwise it is provided at two off-base hotel style buildings at Homebush and North Strathfield. All site entrances close at 2200 hours.

Ensure you check your cabin confirmation for the building you are allocated to:

  • Potts Point: main entrance on Cowper Wharf roadway, off 14-18 Wylde Street
  • Homebush: located at 113-123 Parramatta Road, Homebush
  • North Strathfield: located at 27-29 George Street, North Strathfield

Potts Point

  • March out inspections for Potts Points are required for stays of greater than 21 days and must be booked at least 24 hours prior to departure.
  • Key collection after 1400
  • Key collection and return to Accommodation Office
  • Rooms are to be vacated by 10:00
  • After hours:  Rooms booked in the First Fleet Mess:  Key collection located in Building 801 
  • After hours:  Rooms booked in East and West Wing:  Key collection located in Building 801

Homebush

North Strathfield

Key collection is from Homebush accommodation office.
Please ring Homebush Security on 0437 894 774 to gain access to the Homebush LIA office to retrieve your check-in pack.

Lost keys

Lost keys must be notified to the Accommodation Offices immediately. A cost will be incurred for replacement.

Room/cabin information

Provisions

  • Transit (up to 21 days) - Rooms / Cabins provisioned with soap, toilet paper and towel (replenished and room/cabin cleaned every seven days)
  • Permanent/Temporary (≥ 22 days) - You will need to bring your own toiletries, towel and clean your own room/cabin (excluding Duty Officer, Recruit or Cadet Accommodation).

For further information about your room/cabin, contact the base Accommodation Office. It is essential that you are aware of your LIA obligations in accordance with PACMAN, Annex 7.3.A: Licence to Live In.

VIP rooms/cabins

DHA cannot take requests – contact First Fleet Mess Accommodation Manager for allocation.

Non-duty bookings

Non-duty bookings attract a charge in accordance with Defence policy (FINMAN). Cost recovery will be initiated after key collection by the on-base Accommodation Office.   Queries should be directed to the Accommodation Office.
