Contractor and service provider resources

Maintenance contractors

At Defence Housing Australia (DHA), we provide quality housing and related services to Defence members and families. In doing this, we support the operational, recruitment and retention goals of the Department of Defence.

To meet our Defence housing obligations, DHA manages a Residential Maintenance Services (RMS) panel, which provides routine maintenance and emergency repair services across approximately 17,000 properties Australia wide.

We appoint contractors to our panel via AusTender.  We recommend prospective contractors to register on AusTender and to set up notifications in order not to miss our next tender release.  For any questions, please email procurement@dha.gov.au

Please note that DHA does not accept late tenders.

Development and Construction Contractors

DHA undertakes design and construction work as well as upgrades to existing properties. To streamline the tendering process DHA has established informal builders and upgrades panels. These panels are advertised on AusTender on a periodic basis to seek qualified home builders to become pre-qualified to tender for the upgrade and construction of DHA properties.

We appoint Development and Construction Contractors to our panel via AusTender.  We recommend prospective Builders to register on AusTender and to set up notifications in order not to miss our next tender release.  For any questions, please email procurement@dha.gov.au

Please note that DHA does not accept late tenders.

Valuation contractors

DHA regularly engages independent Valuers to undertake valuations for properties under management or being considered for management by DHA. The independent valuers engaged are active financial members of the Australian Property Institute in the state or territory in which the property is located.

We appoint Valuers to our panel via Austender.  We recommend prospective Builders to register on Austender and to set up notifications in order not to miss our next tender release.  For any questions, please email procurement@dha.gov.au

Please note that DHA does not accept late tenders.

Real Estate Agents

DHA has contracted real estate agents to provide property management services and sales for properties that are currently surplus to Defence needs. When managing surplus properties, agents are required to communicate electronically through Online Services to receive and manage these properties through Civilian Tenancy, including entry of monthly rental payments.

Online Services is a 24/7 web-based system available for DHA's customers and business partners to interact electronically with DHA.
