The service provider must meet the requirements of all relevant work health and safety legislation in the State or Territory where the works are being undertaken, including The Work Health & Safety Act 2011 (Cth), The Work Health & Safety Regulations Chapter 8 – Asbestos (Cth), and relevant Codes of Practice.

Trade Group 1.18 specifications

The Contractor must perform all services in accordance with the current code of practice that apply to the trade type and service being performed. Contractors must adhere to all applicable aspects and regulations, codes of practice and guidelines including:

  1. requirements in the national construction code
  2. standards issued by Standards Australia
  3. requirements of any statutory authorities
  4. state, territory and local Government requirements
  5. industry codes
  6. manufacturer's specifications and recommendations
  7. requirements set out in this statement of requirement
  8. workplace health and safety requirements
  9. requirements set out in Building Code 2013
  10. any trade licence requirements in the relevant state or territory.
