“Absolutely come along to one of the seminars. There’s a lot of information here and it’s a really good path to go down to secure your future.” – Tamara M
DHA’s Brisbane Property Investment Seminar, held at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club on Thursday 29 October 2026, attracted existing DHA investors and people considering investing with DHA.
After opening the presentation, event MC Joel Thomspon (Queensland Leasing & Acquisitions Operations Manager) handed over to leasing experts Mandy Goodwin (Queensland Business Development Manager) and Kym Gardner (Investor Support Manager) who explained the benefits and process of investing with DHA. Lara Cluff, a current DHA Landlord, also joined them onstage to share her first-hand experience as a DHA investor since 2013.
The panel discussed DHA's purpose in providing housing services for Defence families and explained how investing with DHA supports this mission while offering potential investment benefits.
Attendees were also taken through the findings of DHA’s Property Management Fee Comparison Report. The independent report prepared by Oxford Economics Australia examines how the inclusions and benefits provided under DHA’s service fee and Property Care Contract may result in savings in overall property-management costs compared with a traditional real estate agent management agreement.1
Following the presentation, attendees were invited to ask questions about investing with DHA, including the different investment pathways available to them. The event concluded with a discussion in which the Brisbane Leasing and Investor Support teams answered questions about DHA’s preferred property types and locations, property care services and lease extensions.
Local South East Queensland suppliers Hudson Property, Buy & Hold and 32 Projects showcased house and land packages that included a DHA lease commitment commencing upon completion, as part of DHA’s Build to Lease pathway.
As the final in-person investor event of the year, this seminar informed local investors about DHA's mission and the unique opportunity to invest with confidence with a reliable and secure government tenant.
