Getting there
RAAF Base Townsville is approximately 3 kilometres west of the Townsville CBD. The main entrance, open 24 hours/day, is located on the corner of Pilkington St and Ingham Road, Garbutt.

- Key collection and return is via the Accommodation Office
- Keys can be collected between 1400 and 1600, Monday-Friday
- After hours key collection and return is via the Pass Office
- March out inspections must be booked via the Accommodation Office at least 6 weeks prior to departure
- Rooms are to be vacated by 1000 hrs
- Lost keys must be notified to the Accommodation Office immediately. A cost will be incurred for replacement
Room/cabin information
Provisions
- Transit up to 21 days - Rooms/cabins provisioned with soap, toilet paper and towel (replenished and cleaned every seven days)
- Permanent or Transit for more than 22 days - You will need to bring your own toiletries, towel and clean your own room/cabin (excluding Duty Officer, Recruit or Cadet accommodation)
For further information about your room/cabin, contact the Accommodation Office. It is essential that you are aware of your living-in obligations in accordance with PACMAN, Annex 7.4.A: Licence to Live In.
VIP Rooms
As DHA cannot take requests for GPCAPT (E) and above, please contact TVL Air Base Operations Centre (ABOC).
VIP rooms are reserved for WGCDR (E) and above on an ‘as available basis’.
BWOFF and ABOC retain the authority to cancel and/or alter VIP bookings to meet operational priorities.
Non-duty bookings
Non-duty bookings attract a charge in accordance with Defence policy (FINMAN). Cost recovery will be initiated by the Accommodation Office after key collection. Queries regarding this should be directed to the Accommodation Office.
