About Torhaven, Deebing Heights
The Torhaven development is a masterplanned residential community over 27 hectares, comprising 305 land lots. Some 90 lots will be retained by DHA, on which homes are being built for Defence members and their families. The remaining lots are made available for public purchase as they are completed. The development is located off Rawlings Road, Deebing Heights, 10 kilometres from the Ipswich CBD and about 11 kilometres from the RAAF Base, Amberley.
Planning approval was received from the Ipswich City Council in July 2017. The construction of homes for Defence members is being completed in tranches on an annual basis. The retail lots are being sold to the public in staged releases. Stages 1, 2 and 3 are sold out. Stage 4 land release currently on hold pending confirmation of Defence housing requirements in the area.
