Yesterday, Minister for Defence Personnel, the Hon Matt Keogh MP marked the opening of 40 newly built DHA-owned homes in the Northwest Quarter development of Angle Park, in Adelaide.
Minister Keogh unlocked the door to a newly completed Northwest Quarter townhouse alongside the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Edinburgh Wing Commander Craig Keane, DHA Chair Dr Robert Lang and Managing Director Andrew Jaggers, and accompanying RAAF Edinburgh personnel.

The new 40 townhouses delivered by Adelaide builder Burbank Homes brings the total DHA-owned properties across the estate to 54, following completion of an initial 14 properties in late-2023 by family-owned South Australian company Palumbo.
An additional 31 properties for Defence member and family housing will be added to the development by early 2026 through DHA’s Build to Lease program. The program sees investors purchase house and land packages and lease completed properties to DHA to accommodate Australian Defence Force (ADF) members.
The newly completed properties provide 144m2 of family living across two storeys, three-bedrooms, two bathrooms and a carport.
The development is strategically located north-west of Adelaide to accommodate Defence members at the RAAF Edinburgh base and the Osborne Naval Shipyard. Spouse employment and family amenity is supported through convenient access to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, CBD, and facilities including schools, a medical centre, and a childcare.
The Northwest Quarter development is directly supporting ADF member and family housing needs in the region, while adding to local housing supply through the sale of an additional 102 blocks to the private market.
