Protecting your access method
Your credentials are confidential and we recommend they are kept secure to avoid being exposed. Ensure your password contains a combination of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters to reduce the risk of credential guessing attempts.
You must ensure your credentials are kept secure and not disclosed to anyone except when accessing Online Services.
To protect your access method, you must:
- keep your access method confidential and take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to Online Services;
- memorise your access method and promptly destroy any documentation we issue to you containing your access method, including but not limited to documentation (inclusive of digital files) or email correspondence;
- not record or store your access method in any format or location that is easily accessible by others, or stored in close proximity to any device or other item that allows you to access Online Services;
- not disclose your access method to any person, including a family member, friend, colleagues or third parties in any circumstances. You must take reasonable steps to ensure that no unauthorised person is able to observe or overhear the entry or communication of your access method;
- not leave your computer, mobile phone, or other device unattended while logged into Online Services;
- ensure that sessions are properly logged out or you have locked your device before leaving the device unattended; and
- not access Online Services from any location outside of Australia unless prior written authorisation has been granted by us. Unauthorised overseas access may result in suspension or termination of your access rights.
If you suspect your credentials have been compromised, you must notify us immediately. Failure to comply with the terms set out above, you run the risk of another person having access to your account, and you may be liable for any losses incurred.
