Rent

Rent

The final month's rental payment will be held until after the final inspection. This is to allow us to reconcile the account. We will determine whether all outstanding debts are cleared and paid in full before releasing the final payment.

After the reconciliation, if we owe a balance back to you, it will be returned as a final payment the final month.

If money is owed to that exceeds the final rental payment, a statement will be sent to you. You will be required to pay the amount owing within 14 days.

These transactions will be recorded on your final statement.

1. Rent is subject to abatement in limited circumstances. As per the DHA Lease Agreement, rent is paid where the property is able to be occupied. Should a property become uninhabitable during the term of the lease or due to a lessor’s breach of the lease terms, the rent may be withheld until the property has been rectified and can once again be occupied.
