02 September 2013 New LIA BAS rolls out

DHA is now providing Living In Accommodation (LIA) bookings in South Queensland. This is the first stage of the new LIA arrangements which will be gradually rolled out across the remaining regions by mid-2014.

“The Bases affected by this initial stage are Enoggera, Oakley, Cabarlah, Canungra and RAAF Base Amberley,” DHA Managing Director Peter Howman said. “Defence members and employees at these Bases will be able to organise their LIA requirements through Online Services from the beginning of September.”

The new Bookings and Allocation System manages the booking and the allocation of rooms for Permanent, Course and Transit accommodation.

“By establishing the service in South Queensland first we will be able to see how effectively the new system works and how we can improve the service before rolling it out nationally,” Mr Howman said.

Regions yet to transition to the DHA Booking and Allocation System remain unchanged for bookings, and for permanent requirements members should contact Toll or the accommodation office at your gaining location. For all course and transit requirements contact the accommodation office at your required location.

Any current LIA bookings will have automatically transferred to DHA on 1 September 2013.
