17 April 2014 Easter Bunny hops into Breezes Muirhead for egg-cellent action!

The Easter Bunny hopped along to Breezes Muirhead on Sunday, entertaining the community’s children with a fun-filled scramble for Easter eggs through one of the community’s parks.

More than one hundred children participated in Easter craft activities, hunted for chocolate eggs and enjoyed morning tea and photos with the Easter Bunny while their parents got to know their new neighbours.

Defence Housing Australia (DHA) and Investa Land, developers of the masterplanned residential community in Darwin’s northern suburbs hosted the free community event - one of several planned for 2014 - to help families living or building in the community to get to know each other.

“We’re proud of the strong community spirit that has developed among the approximately 150 families living at Breezes Muirhead,” DHA Managing Director Peter Howman said.

“It’s through informal social events such as this Easter morning tea and chatting while the children play in the community’s playgrounds that residents often realise they have more in common than a shared address. This sense of community is at the heart of a successful, sustainable neighbourhood,” Mr Howman said.

Land lots in the first release of Breezes Muirhead’s new Aeris neighbourhood sold out within hours in March. The second Aeris land release will be announced soon.

Breezes Muirhead is located 16 kilometres north of Darwin’s CBD. It is conveniently situated close to 19 primary and high schools, Charles Darwin University and the Royal Darwin Hospital. Casuarina Square Shopping Centre, Casuarina Coastal Reserve and Buffalo Creek boat ramp are within easy reach.

The next community event for Breezes Muirhead is the Family Fun Day on Saturday 10 May.
