10 August 2013 Exclusive land release sells for close to $5 million

Land lots in Defence Housing Australia’s (DHA’s) Crimson Hill residential development went under the hammer today with a total of $4.93 million of land being sold.

Five of the land lots available in the residential development sold, with one of the land lots selling for $1.15 million. More than 40 people attended today’s auction with many buyers keen to build their dream home alongside Lane Cove National Park. The remaining five land lots are expected to be snapped up in the coming weeks by those who missed out on auction day.

“This was a very big milestone for Crimson Hill,” DHA’s Managing Director Peter Howman said. “We see Crimson Hill as a chance to deliver stunning new homes and apartments within a serene, unique inner-Sydney bushland environment. Today’s result reflects the upturn in property prices and we are pleased for DHA to be part of the returned interest to Sydney’s property market. This auction has proved what we already knew – Crimson Hill is a once in a lifetime opportunity and buyers are willing to part with their cash to be a part of it.”

Nestled within the north-western corner of Crimson Hill, Hamilton Corner offers a limited release of 10 prestigious land lots ranging in size from 577sqm to a generous 936sqm. Each features wide frontages, which will allow for double-fronted homes and ample room to create an idyllic garden or playground for the kids.

Land lots ranged in price from $930 000 to $1.15 million. Buyers will now start planning their dream home in accordance with the development’s Urban Design Guidelines in order to ensure the integrity, quality and exclusive nature of Crimson Hill.

“To complement the land lots, the Hamilton Corner precinct will also include beautifully presented low-rise apartments and contemporary homes, all encompassed in a parkland neighbourhood.” Mr Howman said.

The next major milestone for the development will be the release of the first apartments due later this year. For more information about the development visit www.crimsonhill.com.au
