29 January 2013 Apply for RA online

DHA is continually updating its Online Services to enable greater electronic communication between Defence members and DHA, with the added convenience of 24-hour access.

You can now apply for RA via Online Services - leaving the old paper application behind and allowing you to apply directly to the HMC. You can also update your domestic circumstances details and cease your RA via Online Services.

Login to Online Services now or call 139 DHA (139 342) to request a login.

Our recent major changes to Online Services now make it easier for you to make changes to your details relating to your domestic circumstances. These include:

  • rent amount
  • sharing occupants within the home
  • deployment status
  • work unit details
  • categorisation
  • own home purchase

You can also indicate your intention to move and apply for continued Rent Allowance. If you need information on Rent Allowance rates to assist you with making a decision about rental properties, you can use our RA Calculator and if your RA entitlement is approved you can also apply for a rent or bond advance payment quickly and easily.

Once you are registered for Online Services, you can also make changes and update your personal contact details at any stage of your tenancy. This assists DHA to keep in touch and provide you with advice of any important events like the annual Rent Allowance Review or inspection date change.

If you do not have an Online Services account, you can call and register on 139 DHA (139 342).
