New Ipswich constructions impress
On Thursday 1 October, Federal Member for Blair, Shayne Neumann joined local Royal Australian Air Force personnel and DHA's Chief Operating Officer Peter Howman, in a tour of 54 Defence houses under construction in the Ipswich suburb of Fairview Rise.
Mr Neumann was impressed not only with the quality of the houses, but also with the speed at which they are being built. He spoke to the media and guests about the importance of these new houses for both Ipswich and local Defence personnel, and commented that he has keenly watched construction progress since it began in June.
The houses are a mix of single and double storey homes containing three to five bedrooms, and are expected to be fully completed by 2010.
