Step 2: DHA sends you a Pre-AFR letter
If DHA has received your posting order, we will send you a Pre-AFR letter. This opens communication prior to your Application For Relocation (AFR), and seeks early advice of your relocation and housing preferences. You can:
- reply electronically by completing your Pre-AFR online.
- reply using the tear-off card at the bottom of the letter and reply-paid envelope provided.
- Request an AFR pack be sent to you.
If you do not receive a Pre-AFR letter within 21 days of receiving your posting order, please contact your local HMC.
If you are a member with a change in personal circumstance, you will need to contact your local HMC to facilitate your relocation.
