Tindal Upgrade Program
DHA is undertaking an upgrade program at RAAF Base Tindal on behalf of the Department of Defence.
Stage one (Evans Place) has commenced, with completion of stage one expected mid year 2012 and completion of total project end of year 2014.
The scopes of works have been considered for each home and upgrades carried out on each property will vary.
At a minimum, all homes will include:
- a double lock-up garage
- a refurbished bathroom and laundry, and
- internal paint.
DHA held information sessions for residents in June and November 2011 and will continue to provide updates through further information sessions and this website. An open house to show the first completed home was held in March 2012. You can view the results below:
The works were approved by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works (PWC) in November 2011.
Fencing and signage has been erected for the safety of residents. DHA would appreciate all residents remaining outside of the construction area as per the occupational health and safety regulations. Gusher PTY LTD has been selected as the successful contractor for this stage of the works.
DHA are working to minimise any inconvenience or disruption to tenants that may occur during the upgrades and appreciates the cooperation of tenants throughout this process.
