How to apply
You can also do some research about DHA by reading key documents such as the Annual Report.
Make sure you are aware of the closing date and how to lodge your application.
Step 1: Read the duty statement
Obtain a copy of the duty statement and selection criteria from either the contact officer, or download it from our current vacancies page.
Decide whether you can demonstrate that you have the qualifications, skills, experience and abilities set out in the selection criteria and that it is a role that you can see yourself succeeding in. You must be able to meet all of the 'essential' criteria to be seriously considered for the role.
To be eligible to work at DHA you must:
- be an Australian citizen;
- not have received a redundancy package from the Australian Government within the last 12 months; and
- have any mandatory qualifications or meet any specific eligibility requirements for the job.
DHA's selection process identifies the most suitable person for the job (based on merit) from those who have applied. This is a challenging task and one that is of critical importance in enabling DHA to become the recognised expert in Defence housing and relocation services. Good recruitment and selection processes create a favourable impression of DHA, improving the organisation's ability to attract and retain good people.
