Launch of Voices: Stories of Defence families
Defence Families Australia (DFA) celebrated the launch of Voices: Stories of Defence Families publication this week, marking DFA's 25-year Silver Jubilee.
The book, which was sponsored by Defence Housing Australia (DHA), highlights the unique experiences of Defences families, and the significant sacrifices of Australian Defence Force members.
The ACT launch was attended by former Army Major General, Liz Cosson, representatives from Defence Health, and Managing Director of DHA, Michael Del Gigante.
The event included speeches by Julie Blackburn, National Convenor DFA and Liz Cosson on behalf of the Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, Warren Snowdon. They highlighted achievements of DFA over the last 25 years, and the significance of Voices.
The morning tea was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the good work of DFA, who support and represent Defence families.
