NB-ESP Milestone - 600th House
Defence Housing Australia (DHA) reached a significant milestone in the Nation Building - Economic Stimulus Plan, signing the contract for the 600th house in the program.
Chief Operating Officer, Peter Howman and National Manager of Construction, Russell Stephenson signed the contracts at Head Office on Wednesday 19 August 2009. The house will be located in Hewett, South Australia just outside of Gawler.
The contract has been awarded to local company, Palumbo Building Pty Ltd. who expect that the contract will create 19 construction jobs. Palumbo have won a number of DHA contracts for residential construction in South Australia which will create additional jobs in the area.
Construction on the house will begin in 4-6 weeks time.
